(Bay of Fundy, NB/NS – November 10, 2011) The New7Wonders of Nature campaign and the Bay of Fundy’s bid to become one of the top 7 finalists ends on November 11 when voting closes at 7:11 am AST. Representatives of the Bay of Fundy Tourism Partnership will learn the results on Friday, November 11 at 3:00 pm AST in Halifax, Nova Scotia and make a statement on the campaign’s outcome.

Reactions from communities within both provinces are already underway. Regardless of the results, plans to celebrate The Bay of Fundy’s participation in the campaign include fireworks displays on Sunday, November 13 at 7:00 pm AST. Cameras are welcome to cover the festivities in Alma, St. Martins and St. Andrews in New Brunswick; and Windsor, Digby and Parrsboro in Nova Scotia
According to the New7Wonders Foundation, located in Zurich, Switzerland, the provisional results of the 7 winners will be announced on November 11. Over the next six weeks, the results will be officially verified and independently audited. The winners will be recognized with an official inauguration ceremony attended by New7Wonders Founder and President, Bernard Weber.
